Position Overview

Alkami is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Engineer to join our UXDev team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining front-end build systems and components for use by our clients and internal teams. You will be working with internal design and development teams to provide the best user experience possible while continually innovating and maintaining a high level of reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Collaborate with our product, design, and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and help drive the development of new features and functionality.

Provide technical assistance for cross-team projects and take ownership of issues until implementation.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including debugging code to identify the root cause of issues.

Work closely with our internal development teams to identify and resolve bugs and other technical issues related to our user experience.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Document technical issues and resolutions in our knowledge base and communicate them to stakeholders.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to front-end software development and cloud native technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of front-end experience and/or a demonstrated advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Expertise in debugging, troubleshooting, and identifying complex issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Strong understanding of usability and user experience (UX) design

Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

Ability to recommend an overall front-end architecture and/or design for a project

Knowledge of best practices for writing accessible front-end experiences and meeting ADA compliance standards

Experience working with front-end package managers (e.g., npm, yarn)

Experience working with cross-browser compatibility and web standards

Experience interacting with APIs

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)

Desired Skills

Experience with Vue

Experience with Flutter

Experience with TypeScript

Experience with AWS products (S3, Lambda, DynamoDb, etc.)

Experience creating reusable UX component libraries

Familiarity with mobile development is a plus

Experience working in the FinTech or Financial Services industry

Experience building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services

Experience designing architectural solutions to build a best-in-class UX
