BIM Engineer

The Ideal Candidate Would:
Utilize reality capture methods such as laser scanning to gather accurate data of existing site conditions.
Implement efficient data management practices to organize and store captured data for easy access and utilization in project modeling and coordination efforts.
Ensure the integration of reality-captured data into the project's BIM (Building Information Modeling) environment for coordination and visualization purposes.
Collaborate with project teams to establish alignment between reality capture efforts and primary control plans for effective project execution.
VDC Project Execution and Implementation:
Support the development and execution of VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) project execution plans.
Assist in creating strategies for implementing VDC methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate architectural, MEPTF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Technology, and Fire Protection), structural, civil, specialty, and site components within the model.
Establish project alignment for all 3D coordination efforts, ensuring integration with primary control plans to enhance project efficiency.
Modeling and Drafting Responsibilities:
Model self-perform scopes of work based on construction documents, specifications, product submittals, RFIs (Request for Information), and shop drawings.
Prepare models for various purposes including lift drawings, model-based layout, AR/VR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality), and integration with laser scans.
Develop and maintain 3D/4D models in Autodesk Revit and similar software products.
Create modeling content for visualization and construction phases from early design through construction completion.
Prepare construction drawings for design submittals to facilitate project approval processes.
Requirements for the Position:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Structural CAD/BIM modeling/drafting.
Expertise with Autodesk programs, specifically AutoCAD and Revit.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding of basic field layout principles.
Knowledge of VDC or BIM concepts.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering from an accredited institution preferred.
Exposure to and preliminary experience with various BIM systems such as Autodesk Revit, Synchro, Navisworks, Sketchup, and similar software suites.
Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Expected Salary:
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000, depending on the candidate's experience level.
