Multifamily Construction Project Manager (ATL)

Atlanta, GA, United States

Job Description: Project Manager - Multifamily Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in general contracting for multifamily wood-frame construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in overseeing projects from inception to completion, demonstrating exceptional leadership and project management skills while at the mercy of a developer.

Key Responsibilities:

**Manage multifamily construction projects from land bidding through to the final stages of construction.

**Total project oversight, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget, and compliance with municipality requirements.

**Supervise project personnel, assign work, and ensure quality control.

**Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to maintain project timelines and budget constraints.

**Act as the main point of contact, fostering strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

**Ensure seamless communication and productivity between the field and clients.

**Monitor workmanship quality and materials.

**Handle administrative functions, including subcontractor submittals, status reports, monthly draws, RFI's, and change orders.

**Promote and enforce safety protocols on the project site.

**Manage local permitting processes and liaise with building officials.

**Utilize Microsoft Office and Procore for project management, maintaining accurate records and reports.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

**Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Contractor in wood-frame, multifamily construction (new construction, not renovations).

**Must have completed at least 3-5 recent projects in the range of $45 million, in large, wood-frame apartments or senior living facilities.

**Proven ability to manage projects with minimal travel, primarily office-based with regular site visits (90% office, 10% job site).

**Strong leadership skills, with an emphasis on schedule adherence and budget compliance.

**Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and relationship building.

**Experience in leading all phases of construction, from subcontract buyout to turnover.

**Ability to work on large-scale projects and potentially handle multiple projects simultaneously after a probation period.

**Experience in wood-frame, masonry, or similar construction methods.

Additional Considerations:

**Open to national candidates; relocation assistance available.

What We Offer:

**Competitive salary and benefits package.

**Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company.

**A supportive and collaborative work environment.

**Involvement in diverse and challenging construction projects.

Application Process:

Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience and why they are a good fit for this role. Qualified candidates will undergo a comprehensive interview process, including phone and virtual interviews, culminating in an in-person meeting at the Jacksonville headquarters with the VP and HR.

Join Our Team:

Become a part of a dynamic team that values hard work, dedication, and innovation. As our client's Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in leading our multifamily construction projects to success, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. If you're ready to take on this challenging and rewarding role, we look forward to your application.
