Boone County is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team. As a director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Area Plan office, as well as leading major projects such as a new comprehensive plan and updates to solar and wind regulations. This is a leadership role that requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results.
Desired Qualifications:
-Accredited Bachelor of Science degree with major course work in urban planning or related field. AICP certification is not necessary but is encouraged.
-Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in urban planning or related field with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory position preferred.
-Working knowledge of fundamental planning issues and concepts.
