Our industry is more competitive than ever, and to stay on top, we need to establish our leadership in the Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI&D) area. The AI & Data engineering team is an exciting center of excellence supporting all of Verizon. Our team will be a catalyst to Verizon's future in creating networks that move the world forward through the power of Artificial Intelligence & Data.
What you'll be doing...
Oversee the strategic internal programs and projects within AI&D collaborating with cross functional organizations on technology transformation and cloud migration; develops the programs strategic direction and implements the execution plans. Work and manage multiple programs that aims at delivering organizational goals of platform industrialization, modernization and reducing operational costs. Manages programs/projects from initiation through delivery, develops organizational process enhancements or changes and authorizes their implementation. Performs project management duties involving cross functional teams focused on delivery of customer product migrations and/or disconnects. Oversees ideation of new strategic focuses, manages program execution plans to meet project KPIs, and develops/monitors program budgets
Responsibilities
Developing and establishing platform modernization and industrialization strategies to drive Verizon's strategic AI and data initiatives
Managing and prioritizing the project stream, working with internal and external customers/vendors to determine individual project timelines and business requirements
Driving the design and architectural decisions underpinning the business requirements by working across cross functional teams
Converging strategies into detailed actions that align people, process, and systems with integration objectives
Establishing strong stakeholder relationships across Verizon business units with key decision makers, present program progress to top leadership levels
Responsible for resource management and oversight of project activities that may be across functional areas within the organization.
Assigning and monitors work, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget.
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of project plan and ensure the each workstream section of the project collaboration plan is kept up to date / reflects the reality of work in progress.
Resolving risks and any internal issues that appear as a result of the project to ensure on time delivery.
Work and manage multiple programs that aims at organizational goals.
Managing resources, budget, cost, time, quality, risks and other constraints.
In this hybrid full time position, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
5+ years of experience in Project Management or Program Management required.
Experience managing and influencing relationships at the senior executive level; ability to present and interact with all levels of management.
Passion for understanding the latest technology trends and experience with agile ways of working and process improvements
Proven success prioritizing execution by partnering with cross-functional teams specifically within contract management, sales, sales ops, and operations to achieve business goals.
Ability to develop a strategic narrative and influence with data through executive level presentation
Delivering complex strategic programs involving cloud migration and technology transformation
Experience interacting with business clients, interfacing organizations, and application development teams.
Knowledge of the software development process.
Experience managing across virtual or distributed teams across geographies
