About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in guiding its financial systems and contributing to the long-term vision and mission of the organization. The CFO will be responsible for leading the financial operations of this complex non-profit, including understanding and implementing current non-profit accounting practices, overseeing investment activities, and ensuring financial practices that position the organization for continued success. This seasoned strategist will be part of a leadership team that values collaboration and transparency, with the goal of protecting and enhancing the future of the organization.The successful candidate for the CFO position will be a proactive and effective communicator, providing strategic guidance on finance and investment, remaining current on grant protocols, and effectively engaging with the Board on financial matters. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, budget development, forecasting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The CFO will also lead the effort to forecast multi-year financial and operational plans, manage capital structure, and evaluate fundraising initiatives. A Master's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance, with a professional certification such as a Certified Public Accountant, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of strategic leadership in financial planning and management, preferably in a non-profit setting, and demonstrate exceptional analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
