Transportation Regional Manager

Seattle, WA, United States

**BASIC PURPOSE** : Oversee daily operation of Gemini drivers and equipment, coordinate with dispatch on a daily basis, * Main point of contact for drivers in designated area with responsibility for addressing driver issues that may arise.

* Ensure Gemini equipment is maintained properly and DOT compliant at all times.

* Travel 2-4 nights every other week and the ability to multitask working in the field.

* Conduct Action Rides, Follow-up rides, and Surveillances with drivers in designated area.

* Conduct, schedule, and attend meetings and calls using virtual communication platforms such as WebEx.

* Review daily and weekly reports to make certain all drivers in the area are operating safely and efficiently.

* Work closely with Gemini Dispatch to provide and ensure proper staffing, driver carding, and any terminal issues.

* Review the monthly Profit and Loss and weekly revenue reports for area and to help ensure expenses, salaries, revenues are maintained at acceptable levels.

* Driver staffing, training, and release rides in designated area.

* Investigate any incidents in designated area and enforce disciplinary action.

* Implement all aspects of Geminis Code of Conduct and any other safety programs in the field.

* Office duties to include weekly reports, spreadsheets

* Other duties assigned as needed.

Education:

+ High school Diploma or equivalent required

+ Bachelors Degree or

+ 3-5 years previous experience in driver management in place of Bachelors Degree Experience:

+ 3-5 years previous experience in fuel/fleet transportation and driver management

+ 2-3 years of previous driving experience preferred Document Requirements:

+ Each Regional Manager must have a Class A Commercial Drivers License, Hazardous Materials endorsement, Tank Vehicle endorsement, and state requirements to be carried in truck cab while driver is in service.

+ Each Regional Manager must qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate, under the requirements of 49 CFR, Section 391 43-49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Skills:

+ Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, working knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations

+ Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, and good time management skills **The Love's Experience**
