Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The IT Specialist/Windows will have adequate experience and training to effectively perform the duties listed below:
Install hardware, build software, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
Create and administer user accounts, security groups, and group policy.
Conduct backups and system recoveries.
Configure and manage patching solutions and log collection.
Provide technical support to onsite users.
Maintain compliance with DoD Security Technical Configuration Guides (STIGs).
Investigation trouble calls, isolate faults, identify and implement corrective actions to restore information systems operations.
Travel
This position includes a low level of travel.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Relevant operating system training: MS Windows 10, MS Server 2012/2016/2019.
Two or more years of relevant experience. Relevant experience to include MS Windows 7/10, MS Server 2008/2012/2016, WSUS, SIEM products, virtualization software, MS SQL database, DISA STIGS, Shavlik, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution/Nessus, PKI, Storage Area Networks, backup/restore solutions, and DNS.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Require one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or Level III Certifications:
CCNA Security
CySA+
GICSP
GSEC
Security+ CE
CND
SSCP
CASP+ CE
CCNP Security
CISA
CISSP (or Associate)
GCED
GCIH
CCSP
Qualifications
Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
U.S citizenship required.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations.
Physical Requirements
Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.
