Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer based in Marlborough, MA at a top medical device manufacturing client! This role is hybrid (2-3 days required onsite), and will start as a 12 month contract intending to extend the contract further or convert as a permanent employee.
You will be joining the Sourced Finished Medical Device team which focuses on driving improvements of finished medical devices at supplier sites. You are responsible for the design, development, and validation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing delivery goals while ensuring product quality and delivery. Other responsibilities include:
Managing projects which include new production equipment, process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and new product onboarding while supporting the day-to-day operation success of key suppliers.
Successfully contributes to both new product development and current product support of suppliers, typically including: process capability studies, process development, process validation, value improvement projects, protocol / report review and approval, capacity analysis, and process risk reviews.
Review and manage supplier change requests through Engineering Change Notice process.
Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure project success.
Ability to independently design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments including Design of Experiments.
Ability to independently troubleshoot new and existing product/process problems related to design, material, or processes.
This position is targeting a pay rate ranging from $40-49/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering
- 5-8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Medical Device industry experience
- Experience working with suppliers to develop fixtures or piece of equipment
- Ability to travel 15-25% of the time (including international Arizona and Germany) - Experience with Contract Manufacturers (CM) and/or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)
- Understands design to manufacturing line transfers
- Experience with laser fibers (either on the development or manufacturing side) null
