Position Location: Coronado, CA (Telework available when authorized/hybrid)

About the Role:

"This position will be effective July 1st, 2024 and is contingent upon new contract award."

The Principle IT Systems Engineer will install, test, and support of Microsoft Windows based systems.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Design, build, brief, and deploy NAVSOF's TACLAN Images.

Inventory, track, and resolve usability and configuration issues of new TACLAN Images.

Scan, remediate, rescan, and report to cognizant authority the status of Category I vulnerabilities in Support of the accreditation of new TACLAN Images.

Download, install, and verify Microsoft Updates in support of TACLAN Images.

Ability to construct documentation necessary to receive an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO).

Build small test networks in support of Network Security Vulnerability scanning.

Assist with proposal development, if necessary.

Perform other duties, as assigned.

Experience: Will have five (5) to seven (7) years System Administrator Experience at the NOC level

Have experience with: Active Directory 2003/2008 R2 - design/maintenance/troubleshooting.

Group Policy - design/troubleshooting.

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise/Host Intrusion Prevention.

Windows 7 and later client operating systems.

Microsoft ImageX (including WIM, DISM, etc...) required, Windows Deployment Services (WDS) a plus.

DNS/DHCP administration experience.

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) administration.

Experience with VPN and PKI technologies.

Special Operation Forces or Naval Special Warfare experience.

Possess two (2) to three (3) years Microsoft Automation experience.

Possess scripting experience in Batch, VBScript, PowerShell V1/2, & AutoIT

Possess Technical Writing skills to include: drafting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents, accreditation documentation, and peer review of documents created by others

At least one (1) year experience with testing, quality assurance, and drafting test plans for functional testing and accreditation.

Will experience in configuring Information Technology assets in accordance with Federal Information Processing guidelines (such as DISA STIGs and NSA SNACs).

Experience working with the DoD DIACAP accreditation process.

Experience in configuration and maintenance of networking equipment - primarily routers, switches, and firewalls.

Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science. Four (4) or more years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: ITIL V3 Certification.

A+ CE, CCNA - Security, Network+, or SSCP highly desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Will possess strong client/server and network troubleshooting skills.

Possess Technical Writing skills to include drafting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents, accreditation documentation, and peer review of documents created by others.

Ability to install/configure/troubleshoot VMware server virtualization products independently.

Have the ability to run the DoD-approved Information Assurance tool ACAS Security Center to assess the vulnerability status of networked and non-networked assets and provide reporting/risk assessments on an as-needed basis.

Security Clearance: Secret security clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
