Compensation
$92,400 - $138,600
Position Summary
To be a recognized leader in executions and interactions with customers by embodying Edrington's commercial excellence principles and luxury behaviors.
The Market Manager manages all aspects of the assigned channel(s) within the territory, working closely with their Edrington counterparts and Distributor teams, to deliver short-term results and build long-term brand value. Key pillars of the position include Distributor Programming, Brand Building, Pricing Strategy. Success in the position will deliver (or over-deliver) against defined annual goals and continued exceptional growth of the Edrington brands including The Macallan, Highland Park, The Famous Grouse, Brugal Rum, Wyoming Whiskey, Noble Oak Bourbon and No. 3 Gin. The Market Manager will also play a key role, (acting as State Lead in some instances) supporting the Area/Regional Manager and working in close collaboration with the distributor partner to shape the business in their territory in all trade channels (focus on/off).
Job Description
Understand the strategic direction for the assigned territory across relevant channels and segments with emphasis on Macallan and Breakthrough Brands' activation to support brand development.
Assist in communicating the Strategic Direction and Edrington priorities to Distributor Sales Teams at the local level. Instill belief and create buy-in throughout distributor teams.
Work effectively with Division Marketing team and Operations to deliver against the Strategic Imperatives of the organization, delivering exceptional in market results.
Understand how to optimize allocation of Edrington and Distributor resources (including LMF if applicable) against portfolio brand standards within the assigned territory.
Drive leading global luxury and super premium brands to deliver yearly depletion and profit growth while simultaneously engaging in long term brand building activities.
Accelerate the growth of a Edrington brands with emphasis on top 3 focus brands in local market.
Cultivate new opportunities for a strong core business and optimize E-commerce programs and distribution.
Capture and report all trade and consumer interactions and activations in Go Spot Check.
Assist in building Edrington's reputation as a recognized leader in the adult beverage industry by key stakeholders through clear communication, consistent engagement, and professional conduct.
Manage, grow, and develop team of direct reports
Skills and Experience BS/BA or equivalent work experience Previous industry experience a plus, but not required
3+ years' experience in a fast-growing FMCG environment, Alcohol Beverage Industry experience is highly desirable or luxury brand experience
Passion for super premium brown spirits (Scotch, Rum, Bourbon, Tequila)
Ability to manage a broad network of internal and external partners
Entrepreneurial mind-set and a positive attitude when facing opportunities and challenges
Exceptional organizational & event production/management skills
Adept at networking, selling, and interacting with diverse groups of people
Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills
Use of social media (Facebook, Instagram) & technology where appropriate within Edrington policy
Ability to work independently, manage a personal schedule, think creatively
Experience Managing a Team
Role requires evening and weekend coverage - it is a full-time role with non-standard hours
Commercial experience is desired, marketing experience a plus
Experience and/or understanding of on/off premise environment
Knowledge of syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen)
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Overnight travel required as needed to conduct job function
Valid driver's license
Must reside in Orange County, CA.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
