Job Overview
This position will play a central role in establishing and improving efficiencies in the laser manufacturing of life-saving medical device components. Additional focus areas may include process development, programming, operator training, process validation, manufacturing performance metrics, process documentation, and quality documentation. You’ll collaborate with a fun and close-knit agile team to architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new improvements to enable our customers to develop transformative devices at a record pace. Job title negotiable to reflect the level of prior related experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Programming of proprietary laser machines that are used to produce lifesaving, medical device components.
Review and breakdown job cost baselines for parts based on customer prints.
Source materials for jobs based on customer needs.
Convert quotes to work orders to be manufactured.
Programming of proprietary laser machines that are used to produce lifesaving, medical device components.
Analyze processes and refining them to rapidly scale
Continuing to develop current paperless manufacturing and operating systems.
Solving complex manufacturing problems using a variety of engineering tools and resources
Someone who is thorough and willing to work with customers to meet their needs.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
BS degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of practical hands-on engineering experience via prior work experience.
Fast learner, adept and comfortable using computers & new software.
Ability to read and analyze technical prints.
Aptitude for hands-on application of engineering skills.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours.
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or knowledge in Laser Processing and/or machining.
Ability to generate machine motion control programs (i.e. G-Code)
SOLIDWORKS or other 3D modeling skills.
FileMaker database experience.
Python programming skills.
ISO 9001/ISO 13485 experience preferred but not required
