About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Corporate Development to play a pivotal role in the strategic growth and positioning of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project development, M&A, and competitive strategies, working in close collaboration with the executive team, investors, and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include identifying and securing various funding sources, managing strategic partnering and financial models, and assessing and mitigating financial risks. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with investors and key stakeholders, as well as fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Applicants for the VP, Corporate Development role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or CFA preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of experience in project development, particularly in the energy sector, is required, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in carbon removal or renewable energy technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in structuring and closing project development partnerships, a deep understanding of financial modeling, investment analysis, and risk management, and excellent negotiation and communication skills. Leadership experience, a strategic mindset, and a passion for sustainability and energy technology are also essential.
