Primary location will be our Bedford location.
We are looking for an experienced Front Desk Specialist to join our team! Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, position is responsible for all registration functions including patient check-in, check-out, collections, and phone operations.
Applicants must have experience in clinic and/or hospital setting and must be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
Office is fast paced and qualified applicants must be able to multi task and prioritize assigned duties.
Candidate must be a critical thinker, have the ability to work well with others and be willing to participate as an active member of the team.
Candidate must exhibit, promote and support a high level of attention to customer service as it relates to the needs and care of our patients.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
Open office for the day Greet patients and visitors as they arrive
Check-in patients accurately and timely
Collect deductibles/co-pays
Verify information on file is accurate, necessary documentation is on file and obtain if necessary and scan paperwork/ID's/insurance information
Secure necessary signatures on patient medial records including Privacy, Patient Rights, Financial documents
Work with co-workers to ensure office is clean, organized and welcoming to patients and visitors
Ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and timely
Perform office closing duties as assigned
Check-out patients
Answer phones and assist callers as necessary
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors and other clinic staff Is courteous in all interactions
Requirements:
High school graduate or GED with at least some medical office experience
Competent computer skills with Windows-based programs (experience preferred)
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
Willing/able to be trained on EHR software package used by the company
Must possess the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information
Possess the ability to work closely with all levels of personnel
Ability to work flexible hours to meet office deadlines when needed
Possess strong commitment to the goals, missions and philosophy of the organization
Excellent telephone and faxing documentation with outstanding organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and stay calm under pressure
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and independently in a fast-paced environment
Must be willing to travel to all three of our locations when needed.
Orthopedic Office experience preferred but not required.
