Summary of the Role
The Business Analyst (BA) will collaborate with our enterprise clients worldwide sustainability team and other businesses to gather, document, and inspect building datasets in accordance with our enterprise clients standards. The BA will help implement existing processes and workflows and suggest new processes to improve information and data flow across the organizations. The BA will help identify data errors, data gaps and conduct tests to ensure datasets are complete and accurate and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Work at the direction of our client and engage with other business units around the use and operation of buildings and services provided at buildings (e.g., utilities and waste).
Develop ongoing mechanisms for data management and validations
Collaborate with worldwide sustainable client to ensure building datasets and information meet data standards and initiate reconciliation steps with the data owners to ensure they get resolved in a timely manner.
Created detailed documentation related to building datasets and/or workflows to ensure all data sources, data transformations and processes are documented to the level needed.
Update project management tools on progress, challenges and completed tasks.
Participate in data validations and quality control activities produced by clients Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs).
Data reconciliation to data sources for verification and accuracy.
Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or 3 years of Business Analyst work experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar experience in a related role
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with project management tools and concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Amazon building tools or other experience working on building information and data.
