Job Description As a Data Scientist at IR Labs, you'll play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge technology that transforms raw data into actionable insights. You’ll be at the forefront of building and validating early-stage solutions that prove the value of our offerings to customers. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic startup environment, working alongside a passionate team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible with data. Everything you'll be doing will be charting new territory as the first data scientist to join IR Labs, so you get to put your mark on this! If this sounds exciting to you, then we need to talk!

Responsibilities:

Data Exploration & Analysis: Dive deep into complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions and customer value.

Model Development: Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world problems and improve our products.

Solution Prototyping: Develop and validate early-stage prototypes to demonstrate the value of our analytics and AI solutions to customers.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing, to integrate data-driven solutions into our offerings.

Communication: Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, translating technical concepts into actionable recommendations.

Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and AI, and bring new ideas and techniques to the team, such as Retrieval Augmented Generation and Vectors Databases.

Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

5+ years of experience with data science, data analytics, or data research.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

Strong experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit-learn.

Expertise in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and standard data analysis tools such as Pandas or Jupyter Notebooks.

Familiarity with big data technologies such Hadoop or Spark is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment or a role that required rapid prototyping and iteration is highly desirable.

The base compensation range for this position is $230,000 - $250,000 plus yearly variable compensation, based on KPIs and performance. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
