**Job Summary**

Works as part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team providing financial support focusing on indirect cost and rates. Primary activities include the development of forecasts and plans for rates, analyzing and understanding rates variances, and ad hoc analysis / modeling of indirect cost. Independently applies knowledge to complete assignments within extremely tight schedules.

**Responsibilities**

**Business Partner/Advisor Responsibilities**

+ Independently provides knowledge of indirect cost and rates and their impact to the business

+ Assist with pricing strategy, modeling and analysis to improve win percentage and profitability

+ Participate in proposal process for large, strategic opportunities including bid/no-bid decision and providing input to the cost and overall pricing strategy

+ Identifies areas for improvement and cost savings

+ Works collaboratively across the organization to resolve issues.

**Business Financial Services Responsibilities**

+ Independently provides recurring reporting around performance of indirect cost and rates.

+ Assists in development of annual operating plan and quarterly forecast updates.

+ Provides financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, execution, monitoring and control to leadership, project management, and broader finance team

+ Familiar with Battelle overhead-rate structure, accounting practices, and financial systems.

**Compliance & Governance Responsibilities**

+ Works independently with Business leaders, Project, and Finance Management to identify and mitigate business risk.

+ Supports Project and Finance Management with ensuring compliance to Government Contracting regulations, audits, and adherence to policies and disclosure statement terms.

**Key Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance; five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Prior experience with indirect rates, and/or work in a government contracting or other highly regulated environment.
