New Americans Integration Program
Established in 2011, the New American Integration Program (NAIP) is a partnership between MIRA and English for New Bostonians aimed at increasing community organizations' capacity to support immigrant integration across Massachusetts. NAIP trains and places AmeriCorps members to provide English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction, job readiness training, and citizenship services at community-based organizations across Massachusetts. From September to August every year, up to 28 NAIP members gain extensive training and experience to become skilled and passionate service providers, educators, and leaders as they carry out eleven months of full-time service at their host sites.
Member Duties : Up to 35 NAIP members will serve a minimum of 1700 hours of service (~40 hours/week) at partner sites across Massachusetts to provide job readiness training, ESOL/civics instruction, and/or citizenship application assistance.
