Aon is the leading broker of tax insurance in North America. The tax team is part of Aon M&A and Transaction Solutions and is staffed primarily by former practicing tax lawyers.Tax insurance is actively used to facilitate M&A transactions, tax credit investments and as a corporate risk management tool. However, a significant opportunity exists to broaden the use of tax insurance throughout the U.S. and North American region. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and highly motivated to contribute to the growth of this in-demand and fast-growing business.The Tax Insurance Broker position is commensurate with the growth of Aon’s tax insurance business. As part of a candidate’s duties, they will assist Aon colleagues to drive increased use of tax insurance with existing Aon clients and prospects and prospects new to Aon. Ideal candidates will be mid-level to senior tax lawyers with significant professional expertise and an established professional network as well as client facing experience delivering tax-related services. Candidates should have a strong background in U.S. federal income taxation and significant experience with general U.S. tax law and assessments and the tax ramifications of business transactions. M&A-related and/or tax litigation experience is considered a benefit though not a requirement for the position.The position will be at the VP level. The candidate will ideally be based in Aon’s New York office, working with existing AMATS tax team members.
