LOCATION: Bay Area or Dublin, CA (Fully onsite)
DURATION: 6-8 week contract to hire
RATE RANGE: 80-95/hr

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our CI/CD infrastructure and processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline our deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes, improving the overall reliability and performance of our systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes using infrastructure-as-code tools and platforms.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing and quality assurance processes into the CI/CD pipelines.
Implement and maintain robust monitoring and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications.
Optimize system and application performance, availability, and scalability.
Manage and troubleshoot production and development environments.
Implement and enforce security best practices and procedures.
Stay updated with the latest DevOps trends and practices and introduce new tools and technologies as needed.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to members of the DevOps team.
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like NewRelic, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with infrastructure security and compliance is a plus.
