Job Summary: The Billing Department Lead will oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in billing and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the billing team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee the preparation and distribution of invoices, ensuring all billing activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular audits of billing processes and records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Train and mentor billing staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Prepare and present regular reports on billing activities, performance metrics, and department goals to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong understanding of billing procedures, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
