System Test Engineer

System Test EngineerAs a System Test Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in both vehicle and bench test environments. This includes developing detailed test cases, operating testing equipment, and analyzing results to identify issues. You will collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to resolve problems and perform both manual and automated testing of ADAS systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, review, and execute detailed test cases based on system requirements.Operate bench testing equipment and vehicle testing setups.Collect and document test data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Analyze test results to identify issues, root causes, and system deficiencies.Generate test reports, including defect logs, test summaries, and compliance documentation.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related).3+ years of experience in automotive or embedded systems testing.Hands-on experience testing ADAS systems or similar safety-critical automotive systems.Proficiency in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).Experience with HIL/SIL testing platforms (dSPACE, Vector CANoe, etc.).Ability to analyze data and generate detailed reports.Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or related field.Experience with ADAS sensor technologies (camera, radar, lidar, etc.).Knowledge of scripting languages (CAPL, Python, MATLAB).Prior experience in a testing role within an OEM or Tier I Supplier.Work EnvironmentThis position is fully onsite in Rochester, offering an opportunity to work at a major global Tier I supplier engaged in cutting-edge ADAS technology.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
