Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director/Supervisor of Technology, serves as a technical resource to District personnel; monitors and maintains District technology systems including servers, networking, applications, and databases; performs repairs and coordinates vendor installation and repairs; performs daily tasks to administer directory service objects, backups, and provides assistance to help desk, end-users, and peers.

The Technology Systems Administrator manages district technology systems and applications and uses programming to integrate various technology systems.
Duties Included:
Configures and integrates learning management systems. Manages Google Workspace, Active Directory, Canvas, and Classlink. Implementation and integration of curricular applications. Create accounts and update information in systems such as Google Administration, Active Directory, and Single Sign On Portal. Monitors relational databases activities and performance to ensure database security and reliable operation and district databases. Participates in disaster recovery planning and the implementation of disaster recovery procedures.
Education and/or Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in electronics, computer repair, computer science, or closely related field. Two (2) years of experience in two or more of the following areas: VoIP, local and wide areas network management and engineering including system configuration, setup, troubleshooting, planning, designing, implementation, user support, and troubleshooting a heterogeneous network are required.
The Technology Systems Administrator is responsible for serving as a technical resource and performing the advanced tasks involved to monitor and maintain District technology systems including both hardware and software applications. Incumbents troubleshoot issues and provide support of systems by performing everyday maintenance tasks. The network administrator will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting connections to LAN and WAN devices including: switches, routers, wireless, IP video surveillance and other networked devices.
The server administrator will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting server based systems including: database maintenance, client-server based applications, identification based systems (Active Directory), E-Mail and Server/Desktop Virtualization.
Comments and Other Information
The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus.
$9,360 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection.
$11,400 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
