Job Description

Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Role overview You’ll support daily warehouse and material handling operations for a manufacturing environment by coordinating shipping, receiving, inventory movement, material staging, warehouse workflow, and team support.

What you’ll do Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and support to material handling team members.

Assist with task assignments and monitor workflow to support timely completion.

Support onboarding and training for new warehouse employees.

Receive, locate, transfer, and stage materials accurately and efficiently.

Load and unload materials across trucks, racks, pallets, conveyors, and storage areas.

Verify counts, weights, labeling, and documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Identify and document damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies.

Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to meet production schedules.

Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Transport materials throughout the facility using proper tools and equipment.

Assist production teams and machine operators with material movement and staging.

Organize, stack, and maintain materials for efficient storage and workflow.

Complete reports, documentation, inventory transactions, and system updates accurately.

Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory tracking.

Support audits, quality improvements, and process optimization initiatives.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

What you’ll need 2 to 4+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or shipping and receiving.

Prior lead, coordinator, or informal leadership experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping practices, and material handling procedures.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial production environments preferred.

Familiarity with international shipping requirements and shipping documentation preferred.

Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management systems preferred.

Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
