Overview
The System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and management of the Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) systems and infrastructure. This role requires an individual with a strong background in network security, system administration, and the specific protocols and security measures associated with SIPRNet.
This role is 100% onsite at our corporate office in Washington, DC. We offer commuter benefits to assist with parking or public transportation.
What will you do?
Install, configure, and maintain SIPRNet hardware and software.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the integrity and availability of SIPRNet systems.
Implement and enforce security protocols and measures to safeguard SIPRNet operations.
Manage user access and permissions in accordance with security policies.
Conduct regular system audits and security assessments.
Maintain and update system documentation and network diagrams.
Collaborate with other IT and security teams to support overall network security.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and implement proactive measures to protect SIPRNet infrastructure.
Provide technical support and training to users as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Must be a US Citizen
Active Secret Security Clearance
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on network security.
Extensive knowledge of SIPRNet and associated protocols.
Experience with network and system security best practices.
Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Ability to perform risk assessments and implement appropriate security measures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Security+ or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto switches and firewalls.
