Job Description Job Description Job Title: Regional Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Overview: This position will assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the business, for those sites assigned, with the objective being to maximize market share, sales, and profits while continuing to build the Company’s reputation as a respected leader in the industry. It is the responsibility of this position to assure all sites assigned are in full compliance with established Company standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the following areas:
Advertising:
Trade Show administration, logistics and set-up.
DOT and Safety Compliance:
Workers Compensation Management.
Safety (OSHA) Compliance Management
Compliance to DEC Regulations
DOT Compliance
Accidents with Company vehicles
Work related injuries
Personnel Management:
Recruits, screens, and interviews potential employees
Manages major employee conflicts
Employee file compliance
Performance Evaluation process implementation
Oversees operational deadlines and assures Team hits objectives
Handles employee counseling and disciplinary action
Management of Site Standards and Customer Service:
Assures all sites are in full compliance with Company site standards
Resolves any major customer complaints
Willingness to travel to any site to resolve issues as directed by the General Manager
Inventory management
Quality control
Customer service
Monitors competition strengths and weaknesses
Profit & Margin Management including:
Operational Expenses
Gross Margin Percentage
Scrap
Capital Purchases (land, equipment, trucks) and projects including research, proposal, and management of the project
Approves minor repairs of equipment and vehicles
Back up for Site Managers during periods of transition
Prepares and implements a training program for all levels of key year-round personnel starting from the time they are hired. Monitors this training as well as being personally involved.
Other duties as assigned by General Manager
Requirements
Must have at least 5 years of experience in the areas listed.
Ability to travel on a regular basis 50% - 75%
Organized and able to multi-task.
Knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA regulations and requirements.
Sales and management experience in a horticultural business.
Ability to constructively resolve conflict.

Salary : Starting at $70,000 annually with the potential for bonus
