**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Surgical Service Aide is responsible for assisting in properly maintaining equipment and supplies and preparing the operating room for procedures. Also functions as receptionist and clerical coordinator for the Anesthesia Department. Performs various tasks such as ensuring appropriate processing of charges, documenting anesthesia caseload in the journal and coordinating communication to meet the needs of various departments in the hospital. The technician can function within safety guidelines in Surgical Services, lifting patients, transferring patients to carts, pushing carts or beds occupied by patients. Maintains clean and orderly atmosphere in surgical services.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ 6 months of hospital experience preferred
+ Basic Life Support (BLS)
