What our Mechanical Engineers Do:

Function as Engineer of Record for mechanical scope.

Develop schematic level information and document project work in accordance with codes, SMRT, and industry standards.

Supervise quality and efficient production of contract documents.

Perform modeling and calculations.

Research specifications and materials.

Review and respond to contractor submittals and RFIs.

Visit project sites for existing conditions assessments, construction progress observation, and project closeout.

Coordinate and communicate project workloads with discipline leaders and other members of the mechanical group.

Coordinate work with other in-house disciplines as applicable.

Work under supervision of discipline leaders.

May function as a Project Manager depending on experience.

Skills you need to be successful in this role:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of national, state, and local codes as they pertain to mechanical systems.

Ability to relate to building construction, their components in three dimensions, and interact with other disciplines to coordinate all document efforts.

Understanding of materials, systems, and commercial building construction.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines on multiple projects.

Experience working with HVAC software such as Trane Trace.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
