Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day operation of the warehouse under the direction of the Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor. This position assists with receiving, storing, picking, transferring, replenishing, shipping, and organizing inventory while helping maintain accurate inventory records and a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

This role also provides general facilities and maintenance support as needed, including basic upkeep, organization, moving supplies and equipment, and assisting with facility-related projects. Success in this role requires dependability, attention to detail, organization, safe work practices, and the ability to shift priorities based on operational needs.

Duties/Responsibilities

Receive, unload, inspect, organize, and store incoming inventory, merchandise, and supplies.

Accurately pick, prepare, transfer, and stage inventory for sales floor replenishment, customer orders, wholesale orders, vendor returns, and other operational needs.

Assist with receiving and accurately recording firearms, ammunition, accessories, retail merchandise, and supplies in accordance with established procedures.

Support routine cycle counts, physical inventory, discrepancy research, and other inventory accuracy activities as directed.

Maintain organized warehouse, storage, receiving, and stockroom areas.

Replenish sales floor inventory and supplies based on established needs and priorities.

Prepare shipments, transfers, vendor returns, and orders accurately and efficiently.

Safely handle and store firearms, ammunition, and other regulated or controlled inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Maintain warehouse equipment, workspaces, and storage areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition.

Report inventory discrepancies, damaged merchandise, safety concerns, equipment issues, or facility needs to the appropriate supervisor.

Support general facilities and maintenance needs as assigned, including basic upkeep, organization, moving materials or equipment, and assisting with facility projects.

Work collaboratively with Warehouse, Retail, Purchasing, Maintenance, and other teams to support operational needs.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

Ability to safely handle firearms, ammunition, merchandise, supplies, and related products in accordance with company policies.

Ability to follow established warehouse, inventory, safety, and compliance procedures.

Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.

Ability to operate or quickly learn inventory systems, point-of-sale systems, scanners, and basic computer programs.

Ability to accurately pick, count, organize, label, and record inventory.

Ability to recognize and promptly report inventory discrepancies, safety concerns, equipment issues, and maintenance needs.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following direction and established priorities.

Willingness and ability to assist with general facilities and maintenance tasks as operational needs require.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and works under the direction of the Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous warehouse, inventory, receiving, fulfillment, retail, facilities, or related experience preferred.

Experience with firearms, sporting goods, regulated inventory, or retail products preferred.

Experience using inventory management, point-of-sale, or related systems preferred.

On-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and move throughout warehouse, retail, storage, receiving, and facility areas for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.

Ability to safely move boxes, firearms cases, ammunition, merchandise, supplies, equipment, and related inventory.

Ability to safely use carts, hand trucks, ladders, and other equipment appropriate to assigned responsibilities. xsgimln

Ability to work in warehouse, retail, storage, receiving, and range-adjacent environments and wear required PPE when needed.
