Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems currently has a career opportunity for an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in Scottsdale, Arizona. The ISSM will support information system life cycle activities from categorizing systems for new programs and preparing Risk Management Framework packages, to reviewing regular maintenance, support, and upgrades of systems during program execution. The ISSM will be the focal point for Information Systems Security issues across the Scottsdale facility and maintain the day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring of Information Systems (IS) for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The ISSM shall apply knowledge of the fundamentals of information assurance and system security to support numerous projects and programs, maintaining adherence to Government security requirements and mandates. Duties and Tasks:
• Execute or lead the execution of the development of required security documentation including items such as system security plans, contingency plans, and standard operating procedures in compliance with the IA policy
• Conduct internal vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses and ensure all security features applied to a system are implemented and functional
• Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine security relevance
• Executes the security testing and evaluation to ensure the correct implementation of security requirements
• Leads technical security tasks for medium teams or projects
• Lead and mentor assigned ISSOs within your Area of Resposnibility
• Responsibilities also include those listed in DAAPM 2.0 Section 3.6 Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and all supporting Assessment and Authorization documentation
• Strong understanding of cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DAAPM, JSIG, NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171, STIGs and other government security guidelines
• Experience with eMASS risk management and compliance automation tools
• Experience with various system security assessment/hardening tools - SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus, etc.
• Effective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions as they affect the complinace of security control implementations
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to lead security work groups
• Works under limited direction
• Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team throughout the system life cycle
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
• DoD 8570 Certification meeting IAM Level III (e.g., CISM or CISSP)
