Electrical Engineering Intern - Design

As an Electrical Engineering Intern in Engineering Services, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following:

Providing low-level technical support to engineers and other support personnel within division.

Developing and maintaining knowledge of SEL processes and technologies.

Performing testing on new and existing technology.

Documenting and communicating test results.

Creating detailed physical and electrical designs, bills of materials, and job estimates under the technical supervision of an engineer.

Preparing CAD or Microstation drawings and other project documentation.

Completing assigned work within agreed upon schedule and budget to a high level of quality.

This job might be for you if:

You are currently a student pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, with one to two years engineering education completed.

You have the ability to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer.

You are proficient with Microsoft Windows Applications.

You have demonstrated competence in CAD drafting (AutoCAD and/or Microstation).

You have practical knowledge of protective relays & automation controllers.

You have practical circuit knowledge.

You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

You are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

You are able to work cooperatively in team environment.

Pay Range Data

($17.00 - $26.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
