The Boeing Company is looking for a Associate System and Network Administrator to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

The System and Network Administrator Functions supports a 24/7 hour Test operation.
This position is for 4th shift. Various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, Deploying Test Software & Configurations, Troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity
Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements
Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work
Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5) with Polygraph, formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
Experience in certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client
Experience in Operating Systems: RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Windows, Cisco IOS
2+ years of experience with network devices including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with vulnerability scanning
Experience in Cyber Security
Experience in Satellite Test And STE Operations Readiness
Experience with the following - NFS and CIFS network data, Networking, SAMBA, VPN’s, Active Directory, LDAP, Firewalls, RAID storage, Backup methodologies, disaster recovery, HTTP/HTTPS (Apache and IIS), High level DBA skills (install, start stop, etc), SQL Server and MySQL, Ethernet and GPIB communications
Active (ISC)2 Cybersecurity
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
