Enterprise Data Management - Business Intelligence, Data Analyst II

Summary:

The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) organization is comprised of multiple teams that are responsible for developing, executing, and delivering data products across a new cloud platform at Neuberger Berman. The Business Intelligence team within EDM is responsible for delivering analytics solutions that enable our stakeholders to make data driven decisions. The team works closely with front office groups and the technology teams that support them, including but not limited to Operational and Investment Risk, Institutional Equities & MAC investment teams, Fixed Income, Equity Research, and Wealth Management across the firm’s global offices.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in building out the Business Intelligence team’s technical capabilities and BI data assets, incorporating entitlements, Tableau, and Snowflake.

• Conduct data analysis across different source systems and present findings to the team.

• Become proficient across multiple data domains, including internal positions, account performance, market data, security, issuer, ESG, alternative, and trading data.

• Develop analytics solutions that include Tableau dashboards and scalable data sources that promote and support the EDM team’s cloud and data governance strategies.

• Review existing data models and make recommendations to consolidate, optimize, and scale across the firm.

• Identify opportunities to incorporate the firm’s internal Generative AI platform with Business Intelligence capabilities.

• Manage technical requirements, lead daily stand-ups, participate in backlog grooming, and assist project planning.

• Support the EDM team’s cloud strategy, including self-service analytics and data-as-a-service.

• Manage the team’s Change Management and development of CI/CD for Tableau.

• Work closely with QA teams to ensure appropriate testing and sign-offs are handled prior to production releases.

• Collaborate with different teams in EDM (Data Cloud, Architecture, Data Governance Tech, Data Science) and support strategic initiatives such as data governance, data-as-a-service, and self-service analytics.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of data analytics in the field of Business Intelligence or Information Management. Financial service experience a plus but not required.

• Team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and motivated by continuous learning and taking ownership in your work.

• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize work within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

• Familiarity with enterprise technology tools: Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, Service Now, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Azure GIT

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Snowflake and programming languages like Python.

• Experience developing data models in Snowflake that are used for scalable Tableau dashboards and include user entitlements a big plus.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$110,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
