Daystar Television Network is looking for an entry-level Engineering Associate to work at their Headquarters Office in Bedford, Texas. This position is local (in the office and field).

The Engineering Associate will support our RF Transmission, Transport Distribution, and Engineering Services Manager with technical operations support and other administrative related duties. Must be a Christian, committed to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
· Serve as a technical assistant to Daystar's RF (Radio Frequency) department via technical related duties which contribute to the overall distribution success of Daystar's programming and mission globally.
· Install, troubleshoot, and repair of electronic and associated equipment, under supervision.
· Install, modify, and re-route electronic equipment wiring infrastructure, under supervision.
· Execute routine preventative maintenance and software updates for electronic and associated equipment.
· Manual labor and field support when required.
· Serve as a backup for the positions within the Engineering Services Division.
· Positional duties may include but are not limited to the following:
· Viewer technical correspondence and customer support communications.
· Daystar Engineering asset management and readiness duties.
· Daystar Engineering shipment and logistical support.
· Engineering Services Division, clerical related support tasks.
· Engineering support for Special Project Units (i.e., Daystar's Called to Care Prison Ministry).
· Other duties and other special projects as assigned.
Education/Additional Requirements:
· A high school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two years of relevant experience are required.
· Bachelor’s degree in electronics preferred; Associate degree in electronics required .
· Must have some basic knowledge of electronic equipment, electronic test equipment, instruments, and tools.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail, while handling multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressure, with exceptional follow through.
· Excellent phone skills and professional manner.
· Strong interpersonal skills are required.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and other computer office related programs.
· Secret Security Clearance. Must pass background screening.
· Ability to obtain/maintain required State and Federal level security clearance.
· Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record, as some travel may be required for this position.
Physical Requirements: Must meet requirements.
· Must be able to sit (and walk) at workstation for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
· Must pass a medical physical exam.
· Must be Willing to work, varying shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and/or twenty-four/seven (24/7) emergency call out, regardless of weather-related conditions.
