Our Customer located in West Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a Network Engineer who would be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and support of the Network infrastructure for the Local Area and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). Responsible for the security, utilization and evaluation of all equipment and systems within the Network. Oversee the management of contracted, third-party companies utilized within the Information Technology department to ensure optimal functionality of all Network operations at all locations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain production of network to minimize downtime; operate and maintain local and wide area networks, forecast and track significant problems, monitor performance, and perform upgrades to hardware and software as required.
Perform project management responsibilities and assist vendors in the implementation of the WAN/LAN infrastructure; prepare project plan, development approach and estimated costs as well as coordinate schedules; ensure timeline/budget expectations are maintained according to business requirements and customer expectations.
Perform control and tracking activities as appropriate and oversee all communication related to project deliverables. Perform the requisition, management and progression of implementation activities of WAN/LAN hardware along with associated operating systems.
Responsible for the maintenance and upgrades of network hardware and operating systems while ensuring compliance with all support agreements for the network infrastructure.
Perform quantitative analyses of network on a regular basis and develop documented processes to ensure optimal infrastructure performance.
Initiate process improvement/development strategies to maximize network efficiency as well as research emerging hardware and technology and make recommendations on cost/benefit analysis.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management; expected to work off hours and holidays on a rotational and on-call basis to assist with scheduled maintenance and respond to production emergencies.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Deep knowledge of Cisco technologies and internetworking concepts, protocols and methods are required.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's in technology related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
Cisco Certification preferred.
Experience Requirements: 5 years' in computer networking or telecommunications industry required.
Working knowledge of telecommunications voice and data systems and networks required.
Project management experience preferred.
