Shield HealthCare is looking for a Network Security Analyst for our Valencia, CA corporate office. The Network Security Analyst helps to ensure organizational cyber security and data risk exposure is minimized for Shield HealthCare’s electronic information systems. The role’s primary responsibility is implementing, configuring, and managing Shield Healthcare’s suite of security applications and keeping endpoints current with system and security updates. The IT Security Analyst will also work in tandem with IT Operations engineers and management as required.
This is an on-site position in Valencia, CA.
Research and train on Shield HealthCare’s existing information security tools and become a subject matter expert.
Assist in managing all security tools (e.g. firewalls, data encryption, desktop security, server advanced security, anti-malware, ransomware, and DNS filtering). Provide daily monitoring and reports.
Monitor the organization’s network for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
Perform timely and thorough regular release and emergency security patch management enterprise wide.
Maintain and adhere to Shield’s cyber security plan, including supporting regular disaster recovery and penetration testing.
Help to continuously improve security standards and best practices for the organization.
Research the latest security trends and recommend enhancements to senior Security Engineers and IT Operations Management.
Assist computer technicians and end users when they must learn about or install new security products and/or procedures.
Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc IT security audits at the direction of the IT Operations Manager.
Participate in security incident management. Create security incident communications on behalf of the IT Operations Manager for distribution to IT Management and external business customers.
Prepare and document postmortem reviews of issues or incidents. Research and submit best practice recommendations for procedural resolutions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2 years of IT systems security experience
Current Certification(s) in Information Security (Comp TIA Security+, CISA, GIAC Security Essentials, Certified Ethical Hacker) preferred.
Significant experience with Windows Server, 2012, 2016, 2019 in a virtualized and high availability clustered environment.
Significant experience with Microsoft AD and Exchange 2016 and newer versions.
PowerShell scripting.
Experience with firewalls, data encryption, desktop, and server security techniques.
Familiarity with compliance protocols associated with the health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPPA), PCI compliance and security standards and acceptance and secure management of Protected Health Information (PHI) preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with staff at every level in the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent training preferred.
SALARY & BENEFITS: $80,000- 85,000 annually
