**Job Title: Failure Analysis/Test Technicians**

**Location:** Richardson, TX

**Shift:** 1st Shift (Monday to Friday) Temp to perm

**Pay Rate:** $19 to $25 per hour DOE

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking experienced Failure Analysis/Test Technicians to join our team in Richardson, TX. This role involves providing complex technical support for printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and production equipment. The ideal candidates will demonstrate considerable judgment and initiative in resolving problems and making recommendations. This is a critical role where your decisions may impact departmental goals and require building strong relationships both internally and externally.

**Responsibilities:**

+ **Technical Support:** Provide complex technical support for printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and other related products.

+ **Testing and Experimentation:** Set up and perform new, unusual, or involved tests, procedures, experiments, and simulations.

+ **Analysis and Troubleshooting:** Read and analyze schematic diagrams, circuit descriptions, and other technical information to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

+ **Equipment Operation:** Operate and adjust test sets and auxiliary equipment; prove tests and test sets.

+ **Fixture Design:** Assist in designing and debugging test fixtures, cables, and other test equipment.

+ **Circuitry Layout:** Design and lay out circuitry for test fixtures to interface products with bench testing and specialized automated test equipment.

+ **Software Updates:** Update test bed software as required.

**Qualifications:**

+ **Technical Knowledge:** Strong understanding of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems, mechanical assembly, and fabrication procedures.

+ **Equipment Proficiency:** Expertise in the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

+ **Analytical Skills:** Ability to analyze equipment and systems, troubleshoot problems, and perform appropriate repairs.

+ **Knowledge Base:** In-depth knowledge of electronic circuitry, testing, debugging procedures, and quality standards.

+ **Technical Literacy:** Proficiency in reading and interpreting product specifications, schematics, and mechanical drawings.

+ **Computer Skills:** Competence in personal computers and Windows applications, and familiarity with computer programming (C++, ECAD, MCAD, etc.).

+ **Communication Skills:** Effective communication skills for interfacing with various internal customers.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ **Environment:** Work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and operating machinery.

+ **Physical Activity:** Extended periods of visual concentration, light physical effort including repetitive motions and confined workspaces, and occasional lifting of objects over 20 pounds.

**Experience and Education:**

+ **Experience:** Two to four years of relevant experience in a related field.

+ **Education:** A two or three-year community college diploma in a related field, or Highschool and equivalent combination of education and experience.
