Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Surge Tech to join our dynamic team for our day shift position. As a Surge Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during medical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position offers a competitive salary along with a generous $5,000 signing bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgery
- Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and in working order
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide efficient and effective patient care
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Applied Science Surgical Technology from an accredited program
- Indiana License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Surgical Technology Certification within 6 months of hire
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
