As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.
We are seeking a full time Account Executive to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division.
Job Profile
Contribute to insurance marketing, servicing, and strategic consulting efforts with current clients in the logistics industry, representing Roanoke in the highest professional manner
Assist Senior Account Executives/Producers as well as take ownership of an established book of business, displaying self-discipline and self-motivation
Work effectively and independently in a virtual environment
Assist producers in writing new business, conducting coverage reviews for clients and prospects, managing overall client service needs
Serve as the insurance coverage expert to clients
Assist with service strategy for clients while completing cross-training opportunities with service teams
Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and service teams
Attend any internal/external pre-renewal or prep meetings with service teams and/or producers
Submit information to market(s); receive and review quotes; compose/check-in proposals as needed
Learn and understand the products and services Roanoke has to offer our clients
Participate in various local and national industry functions and events, to represent Roanoke’s interests
Demonstrate professional and tactful negotiation skills to achieve objectives
Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of responsibility
Demonstrate understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Regional Vice President, Producer or other colleagues
Job Requirements 3-5 years’ experience with Executive Risk coverages and services
Property & Casualty insurance license in home domicile state
Substantial experience in marketing and servicing insurance needs of commercial accounts
Expanded insurance industry knowledge through experience and/or course work
Proven ability to organize and manage time in order to meet deadlines
Ability to instill confidence with clients
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software products
Advanced working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and formula calculations
High aptitude for mathematical calculations including multiplication, division, and percentages

SIS provides insurance to retail and wholesale insurance brokers in North America. Specialty lines include ocean and inland marine, cyber tech E&O, terrorism, active assailant & political violence.
RIG operates as a specialty insurance broker focused on surety, insurance and related offerings for logistics service providers, customs brokers and companies with supply chains.
