What's Interesting About This Role?

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Science leader to expand the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities of our platform to grow Revenue through machine learning. In this role, you will define the measurement strategy, generate data-driven insights into system performance and testing, and provide a sound statistical basis for determining autonomous systems' product readiness.

How Will You Make an Impact?

Strategically lead and enhance the Data Science vision across GOBankingRates, focusing on opportunities that maximize impact aligned with company objectives.

Recruit, develop, retain and lead teams of data scientists to develop new machine learning applications to serve our customers and consumers.

Progressively enhance the EYE Platform to advance and scale up our methodologies for digital ad conversion, optimizing performance in line with key company performance indicators (KPIs).

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to identify valuable data science use cases, devising and implementing technical solutions to address these business challenges effectively.

Translate analytical insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement, and communicate your research and insights to all levels of the company clearly and concisely in line with business model capabilities and priorities.

Drive scalable solutions using available AWS infrastructure.

Create and track accuracy and performance metrics (both technical and business metrics).

Create, refine, and maintain technical documentation, making it accessible to scientists, engineers, and business leaders, and share findings in a manner that drives company-wide knowledge.

Instill a culture of accountability, collaboration, and tangible results within the team, mentoring junior members to reach their full career potential.

Understand the business priorities and goals to best leverage Data Science capabilities to make a positive impact.

Be a champion for Data Science and machine learning automation, promoting its adoption through training sessions, presentations, and leadership in cross-functional project teams.

What Will You Bring to Us?

5+ years proven track record of leading high-performing teams leading through successful performance of advanced quantitative analyses and statistical modeling that positively impact business performance.

5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) roles, including designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions.

A growth mindset and a passion for staying updated with the latest developments in AI/ML and Generative AI

A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline is required. A master's or Ph.D. is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience working in the digital media marketing industry. Proven ability to develop innovative methodologies to enhance digital advertising metrics such as conversion rates, ad pacing, and ROI.

Adept at refining existing processes with new data inputs and model improvements to boost ML model effectiveness.

Proficient in translating data analytics into tangible business enhancements, with excellent communication skills to relay findings at all company levels.

Drive scalable solutions using available AWS infrastructure.

Capability to construct and maintain precise performance indicators (both technical and business) and documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability.

A history of nurturing a culture of collective ownership and achievement, with a commitment to mentoring and professional development.

The salary range for this role is $220,000 - $250,000. Pay offered may vary within the posted range based on a number of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
