Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for a Sr. Application Validation Engineer to take ownership in motherboard, system and add-on-card testing, the individual will work with cross-functional engineering team to fix quality issues and ensure the products meet engineering and customer specifications, support Research and Development engineering and pre-and-post product release activities, such as white-box design verification, BIOS/IPMI testing on the board products, as well as on the system level, black-box testing. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in Linux and Windows operating system and solid working knowledge in hardware validation testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Perform motherboard and server system application validation testing
•Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as Linux and Windows
•Provide Linux kernel, driver and application analysis and support
•Perform motherboard and hardware functional validation testing
•Perform server configuration and system performance testing
•Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
•Duplicate customer's motherboard issue if needed
Qualifications:
•Bachelor or Master's degree in EE or CE is preferred
•8 years of experience as Application Validation Engineer or related field is a plus
•Familiar with Server and Computer Architecture
•Basic knowledge of Networking/TCPIP
•Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment
•Familiar with Linux Operation System
•Strong attention to details
•White and Black Box testing experience
•Basic programming skill (is a plus)
Salary Range
$127,000 - $171,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
