SALARY LEVEL

Pay level for this position:

GS 7–11: $54,896.00–$105,612.00

Salary shown is the base salary for the grade levels. Salary is also commensurate with professional experience.

DUTIES

Work as part of an audit team, reporting to a supervisory auditor, to address business risk across the FBI.

Apply professional accounting and auditing knowledge, standards, and principles.

With guidance, conduct risk-based audits in line with the Office of Internal Auditing (OIA) risk assessment process and resulting OIA-wide audit plan.

Support planning, execution, and reporting on audits across field offices.

Support meetings with stakeholders and conduct follow-ups, as needed.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.

Must be willing to travel as required.

Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Candidates must have:

A bachelor’s or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration, or accounting and at least 15 college-level semester hours in one or more related disciplines.

OR

Combination of education and experience: At least four years of experience in performance auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge.

CERTIFICATIONS

Most FBI auditors hold certifications, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

All degrees must be verified by submitting college transcripts.
