Job Description
Hill International is seeking an Inspector in Hoboken, New Jersey
Responsibilities
Attending pre-construction meetings when necessary.
Evaluating plans and specifications for construction projects to ensure conformance with regulations.
Conducting field inspections to inspect standards of building structures and materials.
Assist in issuing of violation notices and stop-work orders where structures and materials do not comply with regulations.
Reporting deviations and non-compliance with the scope of work.
Prepare a detailed daily inspector's report with manpower, material quantity, equipment, photographs and maintaining records of documentation.
Attending meetings of construction projects.
Successfully Complete NJ TRANSIT Rail Safety Training (NJT Light Rail or other Agency Training may be required).
Qualifications Valid Driver's License.
Cell phone with smartphone capabilities (receive/send files, photos, video).
Available to work all shifts including nights and weekends.
Computer literacy and good written/verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications: Education or Training in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
3+ years of experience as a Construction Inspector in multiple discipline construction (Civil, Structural, Architectural).
Active experience in rail yard environment.
Trained in OSHA 30 Hours construction safety.
Proficient knowledge of construction work safety.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
