WHAT'S THE ROLE?
As a Project Engineer, you will be an effective communicator, decisive, and adept at spotting potential problems to keep productivity humming along. You will participate in making sure engineering processes are adhered to and ensuring that iEnet’s high quality standards are upheld from project inception through completion.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the field of security system design, programming, and integration. This position will serve as one of the senior level engineers on the Critical Infrastructure team including delegating tasks, motivating the team, and ensuring engineering practices are followed carefully.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN IENET PROJECT ENGINEER:
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including design, development, and implementation.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices, issues faced and contribute to problem resolution.
Engineering Support:
Serve as the senior engineering resource for overflow commission and/or resolution of system errors and failures.
Onsite work as needed.
Project Delivery Management:
Run technical Kick Off meetings and managing engineering projects along with Engineering Services Manager.
Quality Assurance :
Ensure that projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
Ongoing refinement and/or creation of new acceptance criteria and test environments and performance parameters.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate project risks, including monitoring and controlling changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
Communication:
Facilitate communication between project managers, internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, including preparing and presenting project updates and reports.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor project teams, including delegating and assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
Problem-solving:
Address technical issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, including troubleshooting and finding innovative solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including design documents, drawings, and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSEE/CSE or equivalent preferred.
10+ years of experience in a related field.
Demonstrated knowledge in the field of security systems design, programming and integration preferred.
Experience in layout, integration and design of security and surveillance systems preferred.
Strong skills in MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
Willingness to travel average 30%+ of the time.
