The Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the clinical development group of a high growth organization that is radically changing the biotech industry. The Manger of of Statistical Data Analytics will be involved in analyses, visualization, and interpretation of broad types of data across Moderna's research and development programs that are leveraging cutting-edge mRNA science to create transformative medicines for patients

Here's What You'll Do:

Serve as the statistics leader in multiple clinical research and development teams supporting wide range of data analysis explorations and visualization including pre-clinical data, translational medicine, statistical simulations and biobank data.

Build tools and pipelines for both scientists and statisticians to collect, process and harmonize high dimensional data from clinical studies, to perform routine exploratory analyses and report the findings with visual summarization.

Champion in bringing state-of-art statistical thinking and methods to help drive applications of suit-for-purpose statistical methods that enhance the probability of successes for clinical development programs

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective quantitative approaches are applied to the collection and analysis of various data types

Contribute to the development of statistics section of study protocols and statistical analysis plans with a focus on exploratory statistical analyses, and key specifications for statistical programming implementation of analyses.

Plan, manage, and track statistics activities, timelines, and resources and assure operational excellence

Review and/or author SOPs and/or Work Instructions for related statistics practices

Collaborate with and manage internal and external functions (e.g. CROs, software vendors, clinical development partners, etc.) to ensure meeting project timelines and goals

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table: PhD (or equivalent degree) in statistics, biostatistics, computational biology, bioinformatics, data science or related disciplines, with 1+ of relevant work experience in Academic research, Biotech, Pharma, Regulatory agencies, or Clinical Research Organizations. MS (or equivalent degree) with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Excellent statistical knowledge and quantitative skill with the ability of applying the knowledge to solve scientific and clinical problems.

Experience with handling high dimensional data , creating visualization apps and performing exploratory analyses using advanced statistical models.

R, linux/unix, SQL and at least one programming language (e.g. Python or Perl) is essential.

Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
