**ABOUT THE ROLE**Were looking for a positive, communicative, and data-driven Associate Planner to join our Purchasing team. This role contributes to the Uncommon Goods goal of providing an excellent customer experience by ensuring healthy stock levels of remarkable and unique products and generating financial results to support the companys long-term growth. An ideal candidate for this role will be agile and comfortable working independently; the Associate Planner will be a key decision maker while supporting new business initiatives and highly SKU-intensive categories.

Cross-collaboration is a highlight of this position; a merchandise planners role is not performed in a silo here. You will be exposed to the business strategies of our Marketing and Operations teams to help you perform your job to the best of your ability and grow your career. **ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Plan two Merchandise Categories:

+ Build seasonal forecasts based on sales history, trends, and marketing data (primarily at item level)

+ Create inventory buy plans based on forecasts and stock position, in partnership with vendors

+ Update forecasts in season based on true sales data and adjust plans accordingly

+ Manage SKU inventory levels across multiple warehouses and request replenishment purchase orders

+ Communicate and problem-solve with vendors and internal business partners on a consistent basis

+ Effectively balance critical metrics for optimal inventory position to maximize revenue while minimizing overstock risks

+ Make independent decisions based on data and institutional knowledge in a fast-paced environment

* Participate in department and company initiatives

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**

* 2+ years in a Merchandise Planning, Allocation, or similar analytical role

* Past success in managing supplier relationships

* Ability to self-direct and prioritize multiple and diverse tasks while exhibiting a meticulous eye for details

* Proficiency in Excel (writing and understanding advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)

* A love of working with numbers, including a robust understanding of retail math

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail

* Comfortable with shifting priorities as needed

* Track record of identifying and implementing efficiency gains

This is currently a remote role, but on-site work may be required in the future. Fully vaccinated team members are welcome to work onsite, provided they follow the monthly testing schedule required for all onsite vaccinated team members.
