Job Description

Kavaliro isseekingan accomplished IT leader with expertise in security and development to fill the role of Vice President of Information Technology for our client. As a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll spearhead the management and growth of our IT department. The ideal candidate will possess a solid track record in overseeing and expanding IT operations, while also establishing and upholding a comprehensive company-wide information security management program to safeguard our valuable assets. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Information Technology will provide technical oversight across all aspects of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and security.

What You Will Bring:

Demonstrated management prowess.

Experience in guiding and nurturing individuals and teams, harmonizing IT infrastructure, security, and compliance with business requirements.

Proven ability to mobilize resources and teams to successfully execute multiple projects within reasonable overlapping time frames.

Background in developing a strategic vision and roadmap for the IT department.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities:

Act as the process owner for all assurance activities concerning the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with the organization's information security policies.

Lead overall business technology planning, offering a forward-looking perspective on technology and systems.

Formulate and execute strategic plans and priorities to ensure innovative and cost-effective technology programs and services.

Handle communication, escalation, and resolution of all support-related issues, including high-priority incidents, with follow-up on root causes and prevention measures.

Collaborate with the IT team to monitor cybersecurity systems and status, respond to threats, and proactively fortify technology and data resources.

Ensure the incident response plan is regularly updated to align with evolving business needs.

Manage ongoing projects and foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Ensure the IT team maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of network, hardware, servers, systems, and recovery processes.

Serve as a senior member of the leadership team.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of IT experience.

At least 5 years of experience in leading managers and teams.

Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree and/or technical certifications preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred experience with the implementation and support of web-based and RPG applications, as well as familiarity with warehouse operational functions and processes.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated leadership in guiding projects and development organizations within sizable companies featuring multiple business units and departmental organizations.

Strong communication and leadership skills, emphasizing the use of technology as a business catalyst.

Proven ability to motivate teams, simplify complex situations, build consensus, and mediate compromises when necessary.

Capability to delegate tasks and mentor team members effectively.

Proficiency in problem-solving.

Understanding of technology architecture and infrastructure strategy and design.

Ability to make prompt, clear decisions in time-sensitive, high-pressure situations, with a readiness to escalate issues when required.
