Job Summary:
Manages all aspects of program management and contracts management activities including customer communication, supervision responsibilities of employees, frequent updates to the Management team. In Contract Manager role, responsible to plan, direct, control and manage the activities and staff involved with the negotiation, preparation, monitoring and termination of contracts between the company and customers to ensure the fulfillment of all contractual obligations thru Purchase Orders or LTAs.
Some of the key responsibilities and duties are listed below.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Supervise staff of Contract Administrators (CAs) responsible for purchase order entry, quotation coordination and submittal, backlog alignment and customer communication
+ Ensure Weldmac’s backlog is aligned with customer purchase order requirements by periodic reviews with responsible CAs, Planning and Sales team members.
+ Develop and manage an internal scorecard for customer accounts’ health management
+ Develop and administer contract administration policies, systems, procedures, and methods.
+ Manage and coordinate contract administration activities to ensure that contractual obligations are maintained in a manner which ensures good customer relations while representing the interest of the company.
+ Manage the contract department activities by developing key metrics to seek improvements in the processes to support Weldmac business practices and improve customer satisfaction.
+ Advise management of contract obligations, deficiencies, commitments, and performance as needed.
+ Provide interpretation of terms and conditions of contractual obligations as required
+ Supervise the conduct of special studies, investigations or analyses and provide for the preparation of reports and recommendations as required.
+ Maintain an awareness of current statutory requirements influencing contract development and administration
+ Manage all program management activities for the assigned programs.
+ Effectively and concretely manage customer communication on the assigned program including periodic updates on program status, issue reporting, resolution plan to the Management team as required.
+ Effectively and concretely manage internal communication within Weldmac team to accomplish required milestone activities for the assigned program including issue resolution plan.
+ Ensure smooth transition of the assigned new program to production stage by working with team members and customers/suppliers as required
+ Effectively oversee supervisory responsibilities of all employees thru their work schedules, timecard management, accountability, Human Resource procedures and Weldmac/TriMas business requirements
+ Plan, promote, and organize required training activities for all assigned employees to perform their assigned jobs effectively.
+ Work closely with other departments and leaders within Weldmac to ensure effective management of given responsibilities
+ Act with integrity, ethical leadership and promotes the same for the reporting employees
+ Ensures compliance with Customer requirements, Weldmac QMS requirements, TriMas policies and government regulations.
+ Manage other projects and/or responsibilities assigned by direct Manager/Director to support Weldmac and its Customers’ business interests
+ Provide quotes for complex and multi part number pricing packages
+ · Pricing Package Preparation, Recommendation and Presentation
+ Oversee the pricing estimate process to ensure quotes are submitted to customers by due date
+ Support as needed in the quote and estimating process.
+ Other duties as assigned
