Position Overview:
As a Network Admin, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our NMS, EMS, OSS, Linux, and Data Center solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our systems and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain Network Management Systems (NMS), Element Management Systems (EMS), and Operations Support Systems (OSS) to monitor and manage network elements.
Collaborate with software developers to integrate monitoring solutions into the overall system architecture.
Administer and optimize Linux-based servers to ensure high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux server environments.
Manage and support the overall operation of the data center, including server deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Implement and maintain data center best practices for power, cooling, and space utilization.
Integrate various components of NMS, EMS, and OSS systems to create a cohesive and efficient solution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless interoperability of different systems.
Implement monitoring tools and practices to ensure the health and performance of the IT infrastructure.
Analyze system performance data and recommend optimizations to enhance overall efficiency.
Implement and enforce security best practices for Linux-based infrastructure.
Develop and implement security protocols for the Data Center environment, ensuring the protection of critical assets and sensitive information.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits of Data Center facilities.
Deploy and manage security tools for continuous monitoring of systems and networks.
Develop incident response plans and lead efforts to investigate and mitigate security incidents.
Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security appliances.
Collaborate with network engineers to ensure a secure and resilient network architecture.
Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge in scripting - Bash, Python is a plus.
Industry certifications (e.g., RHCE, CCNA) would be an advantage.
