Certified Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - Arlington, TX **About our client:** Our client is a wholesale importer that has been in business over 30 years. Their selection of products includes Christmas, Fall, Halloween, Spring and Easter merchandise, as well as garden and floral accents. Each season, customers are provided with a new array of items to choose from, with hundreds of new designs, in coordinating themes. With showroom locations to include: Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas, our client has expressed the need for Forklift Operator to join the team. **About the position:** The Forklift Operator is a certified warehouse employee responsible for utilizing heavy machinery to move inventory throughout the facility. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Prepare and secure merchandise for safe, easy transport throughout the warehouse locations (Receiving, Inventory and Shipping).
* Utilization of WMS (Warehouse Management System) scanners and software to locate product and move it to the system designation location.
* Operate forklift and pallet jacks to safely transport inventory from one location to the other.
* Load, transport, unload, and stack materials in accordance with established procedures.
* Check for damaged goods.
* Maintain forklift and other equipment to ensure safety.
* Records data into the WFM regarding the products they are moving and the locations of product.
* Support Warehouse Operations as required based on business needs.
**Skills/Experience Requirements:**
* 1+ year of warehouse experience in an automated warehouse as a picker, shipper, or receiver.
* 1+ year experience as a certified forklift driver.
* Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled work environment.
* Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand, bend, lift and sit for long periods of time.
* Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
